Reserved - 2002 Porsche 911 996 Carrera 4S Manual Coupe
In production from 1997 to 2004, the 996 iteration of Porsche’s famous 911 represented a new direction for the company. In moving away from the air-cooled technology which had up to that point defined the 911, Porsche was able to produce a car which was not only cleaner and more efficient than its predecessor, but also more powerful.
The 996 Carrera 4S was released in 2002, sporting a new front-end redesign and the wider body of the more powerful Turbo variant. Beyond the body style, the 996 C4S also shared the suspension, brakes and 18-inch wheels of its Turbo brethren, sitting 10mm lower than any other 996 Carrera.
Considered by many to be the variant to have, the 996 C4S combines the practicality of 4-wheel drive and the gorgeous wide-body looks of the Turbo, with the sonorous 3.6 L naturally aspirated flat six engine.
This particular car has clearly been well cared-for throughout its life, evidenced by numerous invoices for work over the years. Additionally, the car has benefited from an extensive mechanical over hall recently (at a cost of nearly £5k) including a new clutch and single row pro IMS bearing kit. These works were carried out by Revolution Porsche.
This 996 has recently been inspected for signs of bore scoring. No issues were raised or identified upon inspection.
The car also benefits from a recent service and starter motor replacement carried out by us.
This piece of mind combined with its fantastically clean bodywork and manual transmission surely must offer one of the best Porsche C4S experiences available.
This example is in classic 996 4S specification. Artic silver paintwork, grey leather interior and bright red callipers.
The condition is gorgeous. Bodywork nearly blemish free, as are the wheels and interior features minimal wear. It’s clear to see this has been thoroughly looked after and more than likely garage stored for most of its life.
Originally supplied by HR Owen Hatfield, the car had been maintained by local main dealers for its first 5/6 services and the following 9 services have been carried out by Porsche specialists. Most notably JZ Machtech.
